Overview

The TFS Financial Advisor provides comprehensive financial advice to individuals, businesses and entities. This position involves identifying clients' financial needs and goals as well as providing high quality financial solutions in accordance with regulatory standards. The candidate will be expected to generate revenue through the marketing of investment products and services.



Responsibilities

    Assesses clients' financial situation by gathering information regarding investments, asset allocation, savings, retirement planning, and estate planning, while evaluating risk tolerance.
  • Develop customized investment recommendations aligned with clients' financial objectives, risk tolerance and time horizon.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and adjust strategies as market conditions change and clients' life circumstances evolve.
  • Provides financial management information by preparing financial status analyses, proposals and reports.
  • Remain informed on current financial market trends, regulatory changes and product offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain appropriate licensure.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of experience in investment services or wealth management
  • Securities Industry Exam (SIE), Series 7 and 63, 65 or 66 securities licenses
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets and trends-employment, indicators, business trends, interest rates
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles
  • Knowledge of securities regulatory requirements
  • Excellent Interpersonal communication and persuasion skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to promote and sell investment products and services
  • College degree in the field of Finance, Business or Accounting preferred
  • CFP designation preferred
  • State resident Life Insurance license preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
