Job Description

Essential Functions:
  • To establish and execute cycle count schedule/process in compliance with the corporate accounting objectives.

  • Monitor work of all inventory control personnel and ensure achievement of all objectives and provide improvements to same if required.

  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain records of all stockroom locations.

  • Train employees and staff in all inventory control processes according to manual and update processes if required.

  • Maintaining accuracy of raw and finished goods inventory

  • Reports inventory changes via SAP.

  • Conducts in depth research to reconcile inventory discrepancies in SAP and physical stock locations.

  • Validates and executes inter-warehouse material transfers in SAP to maintain accurate inventories.

  • Reports damages of goods to Distribution Centre Manager.

  • Develops and monitors optimized inventory bin utilization to support logistics requirements.

  • Controls scrap and missing stock

  • Monitor Receiving Area performance and issue resolution

  • Monitor Material Interruptions in production to minimize impact

  • Identify capacity gaps, Over/Under capacity

  • Pro-actively look for and implement improvement opportunities for Inventory group

  • Develop, maintain, analyze and publish KPI's relevant to business unit & department as appropriate.

  • Analyze current work practices and timings

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent planning & analytical skills are required

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience of ERP system is required, preferable in SAP.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment with ability to manage several priorities at once

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft application's specifically, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint & Word.

  • Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles such as MRP & inventory planning & control.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Team player with ability to act on own initiative or under minimal supervision.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Third Level Qualification in relevant discipline

  • A minimum of 3 years Inventory Controller experience (with SAP preferred)

  • A minimum of 2 years Supervisory experience preferred

Cognex believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is65,000 USD - 110,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a sales incentive plan.
