JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity at The Pennsylvania State University seeks to fill several part-time Programming and Outreach undergraduate student staff positions for the academic year 2026-2027.

These rolesprovide an opportunity for studentsto develop anddemonstratecompetencies including communication, teamwork, leadership, advocacy, professionalism, career development, critical thinking, and personal growth.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assistin the planning, coordination, and implementation of signature events and programs, contributing to inclusive and educational experiences for the campus community.

  • Creation of one collaborative Late Night in the Center program per semester.

  • Collaborate with peers and administrative staff to support outreach initiatives that increase awareness, engagement, and participation in Center programs.

  • Represent the Center by staffing information tables during campus wide outreach events and programs.

  • Assistin the organization and staffing of the Clothing Transit, pantry, and program materials,demonstratingreliability and accountability.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide front-facing office support, including answering phone calls and greeting visitors in a positive, inclusive, and professional manner.

  • Manage multiple responsibilities whiledemonstratingstrong time management, adaptability, and initiative in a dynamic work environment.

  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to continuous improvement of programs and services.

  • Assistwith the organization, cleanliness, and management of the Center's spaces.

  • Support and provide staffing for larger, signature events sponsored by the Center.

  • Take initiative on projects and complete other duties as assigned,demonstratingadaptability and accountability.

These positions are part-time and do not include benefits. Interested students mustsubmita resume and cover letter as part of a complete application. Hours will vary and may require some evenings and weekend hours. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
