Digital Design Engineer
Location: Tucson, AZ Job ID: #72749 Pay Range: $50-62 12 month contract CLEARANCE REQUIRED Project Overview The Effector Digital Products department is seeking an Electrical Engineer with digital electronics design and analysis skills to join our team. We are looking for candidates willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today's cutting edge technology to design digital electronics circuits that implement missile guidance, video and digital signal processing. Our technology base includes high speed digital electronics, configurable logic, and homogeneous / heterogeneous multiprocessor designs. Position Overview The Digital Design Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and/or CCAs for Missile applications. The candidate should be experienced in all aspects of circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART. The candidate will be working in a collaborative team environment. What does success look like for this role Work independently with minimal oversight. Follow standard department development processes. Required and Desired Qualifications Core Technical Skills (Non negotiables) Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (will consider degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology. Minimum of 2 years of engineering digital circuit design experience. Experience in the development and design of electronics circuit designs, multi assembly system/unit design, processor designs a plus A US Security clearance prior to the start date. (US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Ability to attain Special Program Access (SAP).Desired Skills (Nice to Have) Experience in taking a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level to development of a complete hardware design, and verification via test and integration. Experience with PCB design process and expertise in tools used to design (schematic capture), analyze and simulate designs prior to hardware execution Experience using Mentor Graphics Design Creation (Siemens EDA), PCB electronic circuit design software: HyperLynx signal integrity, power integrity, and analog simulation, Xpedition Enterprise (PCB)Day to Day Responsibilities Requirements Creation and Analysis Parts Selection and trade studies Architecture design block diagrams, etc. Schematic Capture and Involvement with the Physical Layout process Lab checkout and integration of HW utilizing test plan and lab equipment Years of Experience Required Minimum of 2 years Education Required Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (will consider degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology.
