Mechanical Technician II (fab and welding)
Location: Florence, SC (29501) Job ID: #72766 Pay Range: $26-30 Job Description Summary : A mechanical technician is responsible for supporting engineering efforts for new product development, cost reduction, and field or quality issue resolution.Primary tasks would include installation, wiring, maintenance, and parts changes of elevator systems.Additionally, this person would assist engineers in a variety of other tasks to support current programs and be able to effectively communicate and turn conversations into actionable plans.Safety of themselves and those working around them is also a primary responsibility in this position. Skills / Qualifications: *Strong mechanical and hands-on skills *Strong electrical troubleshooting skills *Ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams *Safety-minded *Fabrication skills *Welding skills *Ability to follow detailed procedures or work instructions *Ability to work productively both individually and within a team environment *Strong communications skills (both written and verbal) *Independently motivated and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision Education / Experience: -Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field (preferred) 2 years experience (minimum required) Benefits provided: 401K, medical, dental, and vision, sick time as applicable to state law.
