Experienced Truss Builder

An Experienced Truss Builder is responsible for assembling high-quality roof and floor trusses used in residential and commercial construction. This role requires previous experience in truss manufacturing, the ability to read production drawings, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. Experienced builders play a key role in ensuring customer orders are produced accurately and efficiently while helping maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble roof and floor trusses using pre-cut lumber and metal connector plates

  • Read and interpret truss drawings, blueprints, and work orders

  • Operate saws, nail guns, rollers, and other hand and power tools safely and efficiently

  • Verify dimensions and ensure all products meet quality standards

  • Maintain production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Assist with training and supporting newer team members as needed

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE

Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous truss manufacturing or framing experience preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret truss drawings and production documents

  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations

  • Experience using hand tools and power tools

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting 50+ pounds and standing for extended periods

  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills

  • Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Work Environment
  • Indoor manufacturing facility

  • Exposure to sawdust, loud noises, and varying temperatures

  • Fast-paced production environment with daily goals and deadlines

Schedule

Second Shift:
2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday (Eventual Saturdays)

Compensation
  • Negotiable based on experience

  • Monthly Performance Incentives: Up to $450

Responsibilities

Read and understand set-up sheets.

Position plates properly.

Operate gantry.

Verify lumber accuracy with sheets.

Verify truss set up is accurate.

Perform daily operator maintenance.

Maintain 100% crew efficiency.

Mark individual trusses when required.

Train Builder Associates.


Qualifications

Able to read and write in their primary language.

Able to stand for long periods of time.

Able to read or able to learn to read a set up sheet.

Able to lift 50 pounds.
