Position Summary

The UCCSU Collaborative for Neuroscience, Diversity and Learning (UCCSU Collaborative) was established in the California Budget Act of 2019 and expanded in 2022 with the ambitious goal of improving outcomes for diverse learners. The UCCSU Collaborative is legislatively mandated to translate research to practice and to train education practitioners across California beginning in pre-service with this usable knowledge. For maximize reach, the UCCSU Collaborative uses Arraya Learning - the first centralized UCCSU-developed educator learning platform - which currently serves 8,000 + practitioners and has an average current growth rate of 200+ users per week. Arraya Learning is central to the work in dissemination, with 150+ evidence-based modules spanning PK-3, adolescent development, inclusive practices, high-quality Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behavioral and mental health, and digital wellbeing, it supports implementation of major state reforms and reaches users across all 23 CSU campuses, all 10 UC campuses, and partners statewide. The UCCSU Collaborative is continuously expanding the Arraya platform for synchronous learning opportunities for educators and teacher education faculty across the state. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of technology-driven projects that support Arraya Learning and related UCCSU Collaborative initiatives. This role oversees project management, content publishing operations, platform administration, stakeholder and vendor coordination, and technology integration efforts. The position partners with cross-functional teams, faculty, and external vendors to develop scalable processes, optimize workflows, and implement innovative solutions that enhance learning experiences, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 1.Demonstrated working knowledge of backend technologies supporting large-scale learning management systems (LMS), including system architecture, data structures, and integration points. (Required)
  • 2.Ability to analyze and interpret complex data flows across multiple systems to support LMS functionality, reporting, and user experience optimization. (Required)
  • 3.Knowledge of system interoperability, including APIs and data exchange standards (Required)
  • 4.Demonstrated ability to translate technical backend architecture and data organization into clear, accessible explanations for non-technical stakeholders, including external partners (Required)
  • 5.Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and their intersection with educational technology, particularly for future educators, teacher preparation faculty, and education leaders. (Required)
  • 6.Ability to evaluate technology implementations within an LMS environment and iteratively refine system features, interfaces, and workflows based on user feedback and data insights. (Required)
  • 7.Experience deploying and supporting technology solutions at scale, including monitoring performance, identifying issues, and implementing improvements. (Required)
  • 8.Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams (technical, content developers, and leadership) to align system capabilities with user needs and organizational goals. (Required)
  • 9.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to system design, user experience challenges, and continuous improvement of LMS platforms. (Required)
  • 10.Demonstrated ability to support decision-making through data-informed insights, including analysis of user behavior and system usage patterns. (Required)
  • 11.Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholder groups. (Required)
