Description:

The role performs testing, analyses, reporting, support and related duties for quality control in the production laboratory. The role performs all activities and maintains laboratory assets in accordance with ISO 9001, and Solenis policies and procedures as applicable, following all safety protocols, ensuring personal safety in the working area.

Key Requirements:

  • Prepares samples for testing and analysis

  • Performs testing for samples of raw materials, intermediates and finished products

  • Approves or rejects samples and logs results

  • Provides timely, accurate results to internal customers, including Production, Quality, Packaging, Scheduling, Procurement, and others

  • Prepares reports and analysis and expertise as required

  • Recognize issues and take appropriate testing actions or to escalate to management.

  • Suggests improvements for procedures, protocols or practices

  • Calibrates instruments using protocols

  • Prepares indicators, method transfer, and validation experiments, assisting with investigations as necessary

  • Keeps work areas and instruments clean and neat; properly disposes of chemicals, samples and waste

  • Monitors and orders chemicals and supplies for the laboratory

  • Maintains records of sample analysis, certificates of analysis, and other data as needed

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience with the functioning and calibration of laboratory equipment and sample preparation

  • Computer and applications proficiency, including Excel and other Microsoft applications

  • Understanding of chemical safety data sheets (SDS) to identify and employ the safety measures required per sample

  • Communicate well in a close environment

  • Ability to work well independently

  • Ability to work well with others when teamwork is necessary

  • Associate degree in a scientific discipline, such as Chemistry, or equivalent experience

The expected compensation range for this position is between $47,480.00 and $69,641.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
