Position Summary

The Associate Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing and executing tests on new and existing products to ensure that they meet the requisite functional, technical, and regulatory compliance and maintain high overall product quality. Interface with Game/OS Development and other Product Development staff to resolve issues in a timely manner. Also responsible for having proficient understanding of the software test methodologies and procedures in order to ensure testing efficiency and high level of quality.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design and Execute Tests: Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases fornew features and existing requirements.

  • Ensure Compliance: Verify that products meet technical standards and regulatoryrequirements.

  • Identify and Resolve Issues: Investigate and reproduce problems reported by users orexternal testing teams.

  • Test Updates: Validate hardware and firmware updates from vendors to ensure stability.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases.

  • Improve Processes: Provide feedback and suggest improvements for better quality andefficiency.

  • Report Progress: Prepare and deliver periodic project and testing status reports.

  • Document Defects: Log detailed defects with reproduction steps, severity, and impact.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

Experience:

  • 0 or 1 year experience in Software Testing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in software quality testing and assurance, with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively document and conveyinformation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and data analysis.

  • Working knowledge of Windows OS and Linux environments.

  • Familiarity with programming languages, scripting, test management tools, and defecttracking tools is preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with diverse professionalteams.

  • Ability to promptly engage and adapt to evolving project requirements.

  • Understanding of serial communication protocols.

  • Knowledge of prompt engineering is a plus.

Work Conditions:

  • 5 days a week on-site required.

  • The work conditions are representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations.

  • Ensure compliance with safe work practices.

  • Ensure not to put self and others at risk.

  • Use and maintain equipment properly and ensure that the work area is free of hazards.

  • Report any hazard or accident to the supervisor or manager as soon as it becomes apparent.

  • Ability to move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
