Job Summary: As a Part-Time Administrative Interpreter in our SE Region, you will assist in language interpretation for various company events, including new hire orientations and training sessions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring effective communication between English-speaking and non-English speaking employees, specifically translating either Creole or Spanish to foster inclusivity and support within our workforce. Responsibilities:
Provide interpretation services during new hire orientations, employee training, and other relevant company events.
Translate verbal communication between English-speaking and non-English speaking participants (Creole or Spanish) to ensure comprehension of policies, procedures, and training material.
Ensure accurate, culturally appropriate, and neutral translations while maintaining confidentiality of company information.
Assist HR and other departments in translating documents as required.
Respond promptly and professionally to language interpretation requests.
Maintain detailed records of interpretation sessions for reporting and follow-up purposes.
Qualifications:
Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: Creole or Spanish.
Proven experience as an interpreter, demonstrating a strong understanding of either language (Creole or Spanish) and the cultural nuances.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Flexible and adaptable to work in various settings, including orientations and training sessions.
Availability on an as-needed basis, with the ability to respond to last-minute requests.

Ability to sit for up to 8 hours or stand for extended periods of time while providing interpretation services.
Ability to hear and clearly understand spoken language in order to interpret effectively.

Ability to move between various locations for on-site interpretation, including during large or multiple event sessions.
