SUMMARY This position is responsible for supporting the Bank's accounting close, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and related internal control activities. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations and analysis, supporting consolidated financial statements, and assisting with SEC, regulatory, audit, and management reporting requirements. The position also evaluates accounting and reporting processes, identifies opportunities for standardization and automation, and supports the effective use of technology tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, documentation, and control effectiveness. This role requires knowledge of banking, general accounting, GAAP, SEC reporting, regulatory reporting, and internal control over financial reporting requirements. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business, Accounting, or Finance from a four-year college or university; four to seven years of related finance/accounting experience in the financial services industry in a fast-paced environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, legal documents, technical procedures, professional journals, regulatory guidance, and government regulations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or requests from customers, regulatory agencies, auditors, managers, or members of the business community. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure documentation, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, ratios, and other practical financial calculations. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. COMPUTER & SOFTWARE SKILLS
