Design Release Engineer - Body Control Modules

Design and develop CAN and LIN network-based user control modules (BCM / CBC / Next Generation). Interface with Upper Layer Software Factory and to run a development schedule to keep deliverables on time. Create and manage change notices for product changes and coordinate all validation with platforms and suppliers on all new feature development and customer satisfaction improvements. Understand the DVP&R Process, as well as DFMEA and Tooling Kick-Off. Review defects from Stellantis and supplier validation teams and establish root cause and schedule corrective actions. Participate in ride and drives with supplier and other Stellantis departments to validate the product. Travel to component and vehicle assembly plants at both Stellantis and the supplier to participate in design and manufacturing reviews.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering
  • Experience in releasing electrical systems and components into an automotive manufacturing environment; trouble shooting and root cause analysis of complex vehicle system issue; BCM development and release; working with Teamcenter 3D modelling tree and release packaging; working with Program Timing, Open Issues, and Warranty reduction; working with DFMEA - Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis.
