Provide the government customer information technology (IT) services and technical expertise to support a thoughtful transition from team-level Scrum agile methodology to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The Contractor will support both the operational transition and ongoing development activities, ensuring continuity of delivery while establishing SAFe practices, structures, and governance. Additional information about the SAFe framework can be found at SAFe 6.0 (scaledagileframework.com). In addition, we will assist the government customer with the design, architecture and implementation of a secure application development environment (ADV) specifically engineered to accelerate the organization's SAFe transformation. This environment must integrate automated security controls directly into the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and prioritize developer productivity and autonomy. Furthermore, the ADV must enable Zero Trust architecture that scales across distributed teams without compromising the Lean-Agile mindset. The program will support the following activities: SAFe implementation, software development/enhancement/deployment, O&M, and information & system security.

Location: This position will be on-site in Winchester, VA.

Clearance: Top Secret with ability to get SCI

The Quality Assurance Engineer - Senior leads and supports advanced software quality assurance activities for the program. This role is responsible for developing test strategies, creating and automating test cases, validating bugs, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring software products meet functional, security, performance, and release-readiness expectations. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer supports SAFe Agile delivery by helping enforce Definition of Done, test coverage expectations, defect management practices, and quality metrics across development teams. Develop, execute, and maintain software test cases, test scripts, and automated testing approaches.

* Lead the planning, design, execution, and automation of software test activities.

* Validate defects, isolate issues, support root cause analysis, and verify corrective actions.

* Support quality assurance functions including defect tracking, peer review of development artifacts, functional and performance testing, and automated/manual code review support.

* Ensure test cases and acceptance criteria align to user stories, PI objectives, and program-level Definition of Done.

* Support IV&V and UAT activities, including development of test data, test tools, test cases, and validation evidence.

* Analyze defect trends, quality metrics, technical debt indicators, and release impacts.

* Coordinate QA activities with developers, systems engineers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and release teams.

* Support configuration management, change management, release management, and production deployment readiness.

Required Skills:

* Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years or more of experience

* Minimum 8 years of relevant quality assurance, software testing, or application testing experience.

* Experience leading testing activities in Agile, SAFe, or enterprise software development environments.

* Strong understanding of test planning, test automation, regression testing, integration testing, defect tracking, and release validation.

* Experience analyzing defects, supporting root cause analysis, and coordinating corrective actions with development teams.

* Ability to interpret user stories, acceptance criteria, technical requirements, and system design documentation.

* Experience supporting quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement.

* Active TS/SCI Eligible clearance

Preferred Skills

* Experience with Jira dashboards, PI burndown, feature tracking, quality/technical debt visualization, and Agile reporting.

* Experience supporting DevSecOps pipelines, automated quality gates, CI/CD validation, and security scanning.

* Experience with AWS, cloud-based systems, microservices, data migration, or classified enclave environments.

* Familiarity with federal software assurance, ATO, RMF, and compliance expectations.

* Experience mentoring junior QA staff or helping define QA best practices across teams.
