As the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Program Management and Strategy, you'll have overall responsibility for leading the development and maintenance of long term supplier relationships. You'll support proposal activities and formulate and implement SCM strategies to meet the business needs while also providing oversight to a team of sourcing project management professionals. This position requires specialized expertise in Cloud, SaaS, and information technology providers. The Senior Manager will serve as a key partner across supply chain, manufacturing, program management, and finance to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of sourcing and agreement project managers
  • Set team priorities, manage workload allocation, and drive accountability for results
  • Build team capabilities in negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing practices

Strategic Sourcing & Negotiations

  • Lead negotiations for complex, high-value supplier agreements including Cloud, SaaS, and information technology contracts
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that reduce total cost of ownership and improve supplier on-time delivery performance
  • Identify and qualify suppliers, conduct market analysis, and drive competitive sourcing events
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance to contractual commitments

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all sourcing activities comply with FAR/DFARS and applicable federal acquisition regulations
  • Maintain adherence to company procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards

Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase sourcing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance sourcing workflows, data analysis, and decision-making
  • Develop and standardize best practices, templates, and playbooks for the sourcing team

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, program management, and finance stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with program requirements and business goals
  • Provide sourcing expertise and risk assessments to support program proposals and execution
  • Communicate sourcing performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
  • 3+ years of experience in a people leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex supplier agreements, including Cloud and SaaS contracts
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal acquisition regulations
  • Experience in defense contracting or aerospace & defense industry procurement
  • Exceptional program management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Experience with AI applications in procurement or supply chain operations
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, PMP, CSCP)
  • Experience managing sourcing teams supporting multiple business areas or product lines
  • Familiarity with ITAR/EAR compliance requirements

Target salary range: USD $183,371.00/Yr. - USD $198,414.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
