As Senior Director, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Environmental Affairs, you will lead the development and execution of strategies that protect our employees, operations, and the environment. In this role, you will partner closely with site leaders and cross-functional teams to integrate EHS priorities into daily operations, while ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards.

Your day will include assessing risks, reviewing site performance, guiding improvements, and engaging with leaders to drive a proactive safety and environmental culture. You will play a critical role in shaping programs that strengthen compliance, elevate operational excellence, and support continuous improvement across BioRad's global footprint.

How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Lead the development and execution of global EHS and Environmental Affairs strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
  • Identify and mitigate environmental, health, and safety risks through proactive assessment and effective control strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to integrate EHS programs into business operations and drive a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Establish and oversee robust audit, inspection, and continuous improvement processes across sites.
  • Champion EHS training and engagement initiatives to strengthen awareness, capability, and responsiveness across the organization.


What You Bring:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Work Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Environmental Health & Safety, with demonstrated success in a global or multi-site environment.
  • Strong expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and environmental standards.
  • Proven track record of building and implementing EHS strategies that drive measurable improvements in safety, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


Location: This position must be based in Hercules, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $233,600 to $321,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
