Summary:

The Financial Analyst position is responsible for supporting the MaineHealth Medical Group and assuring accurate preparation of physician practice operating and capital budgets, serves as support for operational departments, and assists in ongoing variance and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares accurate reports and financial analysis within prescribed time frames.
  • Leads administrative department variance reviews, provides answers to process questions, and provides comparative analyses.
  • Identifies and proposes solutions to budget issues and reports unresolved issues.
  • Ongoing financial support of operating departments and assists in support of Service Lines.
  • Collaborates with all areas to complete work and participate in process improvement.
  • Supports the variance reporting process, including the research of moderately complex variances.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: 2 years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience preferred. Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred.
