About the Role We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery - Packing (Machine Operator, Packing) to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. As an Operator 2, you will be accountable for operating and maintaining packaging equipment to ensure a consistent flow of finished goods while upholding safety, quality, and production standards critical to meeting customer and business needs. Shift & Schedule Shift: 3rd Shift Hours: 10 PM- 6:30 AM Weekend Availability: Required Core Accountabilities (What You'll be Doing) Operate and set up packaging equipment (box forming, bagging, taping, labeling, and metal detection) to meet product specifications Monitor production flow and coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to ensure efficient case handling and palletizing Perform quality and food safety checks, including HACCP and metal detector verifications, ensuring compliance with standards Troubleshoot equipment issues, respond to alarms, and communicate with maintenance and leadership to minimize downtime Maintain accurate production documentation, including case codes, lot tracking, and quality records Ensure proper labeling and packaging accuracy for all finished goods Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to GMPs and safety procedures Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table) High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Basic math and timekeeping skills Ability to make logical decisions in a fast-paced production environment Ability to lift, push, or move up to 50 lbs and frequently carry 20+ lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, wet, noisy, or confined spaces) Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success) Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment Familiarity with packaging machinery and automated systems Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices Experience troubleshooting mechanical or operational issues Prior experience training or mentoring team members Aspire Bakeries is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
