What to Expect Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer to contribute to the design and development of new automation equipment and assembly lines, working alongside Manufacturing Engineering peers to develop machine and process concepts, draft detailed electrical schematics, and oversee sourcing of electrical panel builds. The Controls Engineer will program all equipment code components - including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and servo drives - and calibrate and fine-tune equipment until production targets are met, while simultaneously managing project documentation such as scope, schedule, and budget. Throughout this process, the Controls Engineer is expected to contribute lessons learned back to Tesla's global standards.
