We have an opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our Ashland, OH team. You will plan and organize procurement of products across multiple Business Units to ensure on-time delivery of products to our customers and maximize the available capacity at the most effective total cost. This role will require someone who can work in a fast-paced environment, take initiative to solve problems, and be a quick learner.

You will:

  • Oversee personnel in charge of operating production machines.
  • Maintain safe work environment for all employees.
  • Assist in determining labor requirements based upon production plan.
  • Implement continuous process improvement initiatives in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Hold daily/weekly departmental meetings for safety, housekeeping, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records which relate to production, attendance, quality, employees.
  • Interpret and enforce all work rules and regulations including safety, OSHA, and EPA policies.
  • Perform daily audits on safety, quality, and productivity metrics.
  • Assure all employees are meeting established standards - productivity, attendance, quality, working safely and adherence to company rules and regulations.
  • Partner with the HR team to minimize any employee relation issues that may arise.
  • Handle all first-step grievances and work with other available resources to resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with other shift supervision at shift end to review daily activities to ensure smooth handoff.

Key Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate through experience, a proven record of supervising and scheduling numerous hourly employees in a union environment.
  • Participate in and be familiar with the concepts of "Lean Manufacturing."
  • Highly Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint applications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work 2:30 pm - 11:30 pm with some flexibility.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
