HJF is seeking a Transfer Credit & Graduation Coordinator who under the direction of the Senior Education Coordinator in the Office of the University Registrar (OUR), serves as the quality control expert for reviewing, updating, and maintaining transfer credit evaluations to support evaluations in the Student Information System (SIS). This may include the processing, maintaining, and review of manual exceptions and overrides, in compliance with internal and external academic policies and procedures relating to degree and program completion and requirements. Serves as a member of the degree audit and transfer evaluation team and collaborates with academic departments, advising and Deans, as deemed necessary.

This position will be in support of Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) Office of the University Registrar, located in Bethesda, MD.

  • Conduct quality control for reviewing, updating, and maintaining transfer credit evaluations in various systems as well as training the Transcript Evaluation and Academic Advising teams on evaluation tools and processes. Works in a team environment and makes recommendations and delegates assignments to meet department goals. Serve as point of contact in the Sr. Education Coordinator's absence.
  • Responsible for understanding and updating curriculum requirements to support undergraduate transfer credit evaluations. Notifies appropriate personnel when program changes in degree audit raise concerns with student progress toward degree and assists with system updating as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Education Coordinator Supervisor to resolve and transfer credit discrepancies. Generate transcripts and transfer equivalency report and proof for accuracy.
  • Work closely with Senior Education Coordinator Supervisor to ensure University Catalog requirements are clearly defined and accurate as well as ongoing process improvement on curriculum and degree assessment of student records.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with OUR office personnel and CAHS Academic Advising to discuss curricular changes and requests for exceptions or substitutions to a student's program.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3-5 years experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • At least three years of experience in student services or enrollment management within higher education.
  • More than three years of experience with student database systems such as Banner SIS, Degree Works, or equivalent platforms.
  • Extensive experience-over three years-in evaluating and articulating transfer credits in a college or university setting.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and proactive work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and use sound judgment.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical information.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check.

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.

Compensation

  • The annual salary range for this position is $67,500-$95,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
