Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete physician quality chart audits (e.g. timely completion of discharge summaries and H&P's, diabetic testing initiative) to help ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Press Ganey patient satisfaction software super-user: run reports and analyze patient satisfaction data for physicians in multiple specialties. This information is used to improve patient satisfaction/service.
- Prepare quarterly physician quality/service incentive bonus summaries (including collecting and analyzing data).
- Support service recovery efforts by coordinating completion of patient concern case sheets (assign reviews to appropriate providers and respond to Customer Relations department).
- Create and distribute physician on call schedules for multiple specialty services. This includes the creation and maintenance of physician call schedules using software programs.
- Communicate with physicians and locum agencies regarding staffing needs and assign physicians to call schedule to ensure needed coverage.
- Arrange department orientations for new Mercy physicians & physician locums (EPIC, coding/billing, transcription, operating room orientation as needed, ID badges, security card, lab coats).
- Facilitate submission of physician timesheets to payroll for physicians working extra shifts.
- Coordinate processing of physician reimbursement forms, check requests, and invoices.
- Track the shifts worked by the physicians each month and enter into tracking sheet. Prepare reconciliation timesheets for extra shifts worked over the past quarter.
- Coordinate physician benefit tracking for CME, memberships, and licenses.
- Assign learning activities in the Mercy Learning Center to physicians and providers and track activities to verify completion.
- Communicate with vendors such as pharmacies, locum agencies, and funeral homes.
- Responsible for ordering office supplies, arranging hotel accommodations, schedule meetings, and approving partner time records.

Education and Experience Associate's degree in related field. Three to five years of related experience will be considered in lieu of associate's degree. Minimum of five years working in healthcare organization preferred. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Proficient in spreadsheet software for data/trend analysis. Certification and Licensure N/A Skills and Abilities Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and adjust priorities as needed. Working knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis, interpretation and presentation. Special Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk.
