Account Manager- Building and Infrastructure

POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Account Manager for the Advanced Reinforcements (ADR) business, you willbe responsible formanaging and growing strategic customer relationships whileidentifyingnew business opportunities within your assigned territory. This role focuses on expanding the adoption of Milliken's advanced reinforcement solutions by working closely with customers to understand their technical needs, product requirements, and application challenges.

The Account Manager will partner with engineering, product development, and commercial teams to deliver innovative reinforcement solutions that create value for customers across targeted industries. Success in this role requires the ability to build strong customer relationships, understand complex technical applications, andidentifyopportunities to grow existing accounts while securing new business.

The ideal candidate willdemonstratestrong consultative selling skills, the ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, and the capability to navigate complex customer organizations and decision-making processes. This individual must also be able to translate customer requirements into opportunities for Milliken's advanced materials and reinforcement technologies.

This role reports to Sr. Sales Director and requiresapproximately 40-50% travel to support customers, prospective accounts, and industry events.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage relationships with key customers within the Advanced Reinforcements market, serving as the primary commercial contact.

  • Identifyand pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers to grow market share and expand Milliken's ADR presence.

  • Collaborate with customers to understand their product applications, technical requirements, and performanceobjectivesfor reinforcement materials.

  • Present Milliken's advanced reinforcement technologies and value proposition to customers through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application discussions.

  • Partner with internal teams including R&D, product development, and operations to support customer projects and ensure successful implementation of solutions.

  • Networking - excels atbuilding outa network within acustomer'sorganization that stretches from plant level contacts to senior leadership.

  • Manage customer opportunities throughout the sales cycle, frominitialengagement through commercialization. Work with customers & industry contacts to understand factorsimpactingdemand.

  • Provide market insights and customer feedback to help guide product development and strategic growth initiatives.

  • Maintainaccuratecustomer information, opportunity tracking, and project updates within the CRM system.

  • Support forecasting, territory planning, and account strategy development to meet revenue and growthobjectives.

  • Represent Milliken and the ADR business at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degreerequired(engineering, materials science, business, Textiles, or related field preferred)

  • 3+years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, within advanced materials, composites, orindustrialtextiles

  • Demonstrated success growing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities

  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to understand and communicate technical product value to customers

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams

  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and general computerproficiency

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to support customer engagement and industry activities
