THE POSITION

Join the Liquor Control Board as a Marketing Assistant and assist with creative marketing activities. You help keep schedules steady and support tasks that guide major marketing efforts. This role gives you the chance to learn in a friendly setting. It is a positive place for someone who wants to develop strong skills.


DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role supports the bureau by staying organized and helping staff with daily tasks. As a Marketing Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

  • Clerical Support: Screen telephone inquiries, sort and deliver mail, copy and scan documents, and complete daily office tasks
  • Scheduling Tasks: Arrange meetings, appointments, and calls, organize materials, and handle rescheduling when conflicts arise
  • Vendor Coordination: Request assets from vendors for upcoming promotions and submit print requests as directed
  • Financial Processing: Use a p-card to order supplies, maintain receipts, reconcile monthly statements, and enter approved invoices into the financial system
  • Data Management: Enter and track digital coupons, compile email analytics, and update the Master Marketing Calendar
  • Meeting Support: Prepare agendas, write meeting minutes, and produce materials for meetings

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Telework arrangements are subject to change. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
