DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports major technology systems and business processes that help deliver driver and vehicle services across Pennsylvania. Your role will be focused on reviewing system needs, gathering useful information, and helping teams keep applications running efficiently. As a Business Analyst 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • System Analysis: Review application needs, gather requirements, and support updates to technology systems
  • Problem Solving: Investigate issues, identify solutions, and help ensure applications continue to run properly
  • Testing Support: Create test plans, review results, and help verify that system changes work as expected
  • Team Coordination: Work with information technology (IT) teams, business users, vendors, and partners to support application improvements
  • Documentation Work: Write clear procedures, track defects, and document updates to systems and processes
  • Supervisory Tasks: Assign tasks, guide lower level analysts, and review work for accuracy

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Business Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year as an Information Technology Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Five years of business process analysis experience; or
  • One year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
