Description and Requirements
The Personalization Product Owner is responsible for the execution of personalization initiatives for lenovo.com as part of the Global eCommerce Digital Experience Team. This person will support the end-to-end execution of personalization initiatives on Lenovo.com, working closely with other product owners, UX researchers, designers and development teams to bring personalization experiences to life. This individual will work with a diverse group of business stakeholders to create & drive testing & personalization efforts with worldwide business goals. The ideal candidate must be innovative, collaborative and have strong organization and project management skills.
Job responsibilities
- Lead ideation sessions and drive roadmap planning, translating business goals and market trends into a prioritized personalization strategy
- Define and own the personalization measurement framework, including KPIs, experiment success criteria, and reporting cadence for senior leadership
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for developers, QA, designers, and business stakeholders on active owned personalization projects
- Own and drive the personalization backlog end-to-end, setting prioritization direction and making tradeoff decisions independently
- Prepare clear and concise project updates, status reports, and stakeholder communications that keep cross-functional teams aligned and informed
- Collaborate with UX researchers and designers to translate customer behavior and attitudinal data into personalization hypotheses and testable experiences
- Maintain and prioritize the personalization stories ensuring all user stories are well-defined, acceptance criteria are clear, and work is sprint-ready
- Monitor sprint progress, flag impediments early and escalate blockers to other product owners or leadership as needed
- Track project status, milestones, risks, and dependencies across active personalization initiatives and communicate updates to senior leadership regularly
- Collect and synthesize stakeholder input from across WW and geography eCommerce teams, balancing competing priorities and communicating decisions clearly
- Serve as the strategic personalization subject matter expert across the DX org, providing guidance to associate POs and cross-functional partners on best practices, platform capabilities, and experimentation methodology
- Partner with research, design, solution architecture and global operations teams to ensure personalization initiatives are informed by data and delivered with quality.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, contributing meaningfully to team rhythm and delivery momentum
- Support discovery activities including analytics reviews, usability findings, stakeholder interviews, and competitive checks to surface insights that inform personalization strategy.
- Maintain documentation on experiment outcomes and feed learnings back into the backlog to inform future prioritization.
- Attention to detail to provide excellence as a product owner. Ability to drive adherence to deadlines with many different teams in a proactive manner.
- Comfortable with executive Presentations, thought leadership, effectively and proactive insight driven communicate across multiple business units and geographies in a highly matrix environment.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of eCommerce experience; preference for previous merchandising or personalization experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced understanding of experimentation methodology including multivariate testing, statistical significance, and translating results into roadmap decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams in a global organization
- Analytical mindset with comfort working with data to track performance, identify trends, and support decision making
- High degree of initiative, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of eCommerce customer journeys and digital experience best practices
- Experience managing projects working with cross-functional team members
- Experience working in a global or matrixed organization
- Exposure to personalization platforms such as Adobe Target
- Hands-on experience with Jira including creating and managing epics, stories, tasks, and sprints in an Agile environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Collaborative by nature with a demonstrated ability to build relationships across functions and levels
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $115K - $125K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo's various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.
