The Sales Manager leads and manages the Business Development Associates (BDAs) of Triumph Carrier Sales. The Sales Manager is expected to drive the production of the Carrier Sales BDAs by providing direction, guidance, and accountability to ensure the organization's overall sales goals and objectives are achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set the tone and pace of the Carrier Sales and Intelligence BDA team with a high-performance sales culture.

  • Provide day-to-day management of the Business Development Associates (BDAs) by defining clear success metrics, measuring results, and making sure BDAs are properly trained, motivated, and incented to meet or exceed their goals.

  • Conducts call reviews to improve sales effectiveness and client engagement. Provide on-going feed, guidance, and accountability. Leverage Five9 and Level AI to track scores and overall & improvement.

  • Review and optimize the team's daily performance against established goals to ensure monthly and quarterly goal achievement. Establish and monitor quotas for activities and key business outcomes (creating new qualified leads, 3-way calls, new LoadPay accounts, etc.)

  • Partner with SVP to design, review, and execute effective pursuits to targeted carrier segments. Drive new initiatives, optimize lead generation activities, and ensure effective 3-way calls with broker and carrier sales representatives. Monitor and improve conversion rates.

  • Drive individual and team performance through structured performance management practices, including regular performance reviews, pipeline inspections, and activity tracking.

  • Establishclear sales activity expectations (calls, meetings, pipeline development) andmonitorproductivity to ensure achievement of revenue and growthobjectives.

  • Deliver ongoing coaching and counsel to BDAs to improve sales effectiveness, business acumen, and professional development while addressing performance gaps ina timelyand constructive manner.

  • Partner with BDAs to develop actionable sales activities and pipeline management techniques to maximize production and conversion rates.

  • Support the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of new team members, ensuring a consistent ramp-up process and clear understanding of expectations, tools, and processes.

  • Lead the assimilation of new hires into the team and broader sales organization to ensure engagement, cultural alignment, and productivity acceleration.

  • Facilitateformal and informal training sessions focused on sales methodologies, product knowledge, systems, and market positioning.

  • Set, communicate, and reinforce individual and team sales goals, ensuring accountability to key performance indicators and organizationalobjectives.

  • Foster a high-performance culture through recognition, feedback, and continuous improvement whilemaintainingalignment with company values and leadership standards.

  • Identifytrends in performance, pipeline health, and market activity to proactively adjust strategies and improve outcomes.

Experience and Education

The successful candidate will ideally possess extensive factoring sales experience, leadership and management expertise, analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and thrive in a high volume, high velocity environment. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.

  • 5+ years of direct sales experience and 3+ years of management experience in building and leading sales teams.

  • Proven success in meeting and exceeded goals quotas (monthly, quarterly, and annual).

  • Proven leadership in start-up environment, high growth enterprises, and adapting quickly to change and new environments.

  • Completed formal sales and management training.

  • Evidence of previous sales/management success and strong work ethic.

  • Transportation experience preferred.

  • Bilingual - Spanish/English - a plus, but not required.

  • Travel up to 20% of the time.
