Membership Retention Specialist
Hourly Rate: $17 ( Bonus Potential)
Location: West Plains, MO - Onsite

This Retention Specialist's primary focus is to retain active members and reinstate inactive members while delivering a high-quality, sales-driven customer experience. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, persistence, and the ability to identify opportunities to increase member engagement and loyalty.

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in a goal-driven, sales-focused environment. The ideal candidate builds trust quickly, handles objections with confidence, solves problems effectively, and manages multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
* The Retention Specialist serves as the primary liaison and communication link with members, managing day-to-day membership needs via phone, email correspondence, and online channels.
* Proactively engages with members to retain accounts and reinstate inactive memberships through consultative sales techniques.
* Researches and resolves complaints to ensure member satisfaction and long-term retention.
* Processes membership applications accurately and efficiently.
* Updates and maintains the member database as required.
* Consistently provides members with exceptional, solution-oriented customer service.
* Contributes to a team effort to meet or exceed service, production, and quality goals.
* Meets and exceeds daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals, including retention and reinstatement targets.
* Processes payments and performs balancing responsibilities with accuracy.

A Successful Retention Specialist has:
* Strong customer service and/or sales experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A proactive, persuasive approach to member interactions.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

* High school diploma, or equivalent.
* Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
