UC San Diego has an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled professional who is collaborative, creative, customer focused, and mission driven. This is a rare opportunity to help build something from the ground up. UC San Diego is launching its first-ever Welcome Center, a visually compelling, vibrant, and interactive gateway that brings the Triton story to life. The inaugural Manager will co-create, co-conceptualize, and co-build the Welcome Center experience alongside campus partners and stakeholders. Designed to honor the university's history while looking boldly toward its future, the Center will celebrate the spirit and achievements of Tritons who have shaped science, technology, and culture around the world. Every visitor, whether prospective student, alumnus, donor, community member, or volunteer, will feel welcomed, represented, and inspired to engage with the university. The Welcome Center will serve as a front door to the university: a place where community, discovery, and connection come together in a memorable and inspiring way. Reporting to the Executive Director of Campus Activation and University Centers, within the ArtsConnect and Activation team in Student Affairs and Campus Life, the Manager will be a founding creator of this experience. The incumbent will lead the exhibit planning, development, and launch phases in close collaboration with campus stakeholders, and then transition into managing day-to-day operations, programming, and community partnerships once the Welcome Center is open. This role demands a rare combination of visionary thinking, project management discipline, and guest-experience excellence. QUALIFICATIONS
