Accountant



This position will support the financial management of the organization through financial reporting, system maintenance, record keeping, internal controls and other accounting services. Responsibilities include the review and tracking of accounting transactions, involvement with monthly, quarterly & year-end financial closings, and special projects as directed by leadership. This position will work closely with the site management team.



Responsibilities Include:




  • Perform month end closing by preparing and posting journal entries (including but not limited to Payroll, Inventory, Fixed Assets, etc.)
  • Intercompany Reconciliations and Payment
  • Perform balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations. Research reconciling items and prepare necessary journal entries.
  • Capex spending review and follow-up - support on creating cost justifications for new projects, track submissions and approvals and monitor projects to completion and closure.
  • Complete monthly sales and use tax returns.
  • Provide support for year-end audits.
  • A/P and A/R oversight and reporting.
  • Participate in inventory events - monthly, quarterly & yearly inventories.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Provide support for various ad hoc projects.
  • Any other duties as assigned.



Requirements:




  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in accounting or finance roles.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide insight to leadership on improvement opportunities.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to use sound judgement and challenge assumptions when appropriate.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work within financial systems and create usable financial tools for monitoring and driving performance improvement.
  • Proven ability to grow and learn in a fast-paced and high demand environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, techniques, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven flexibility and ability to cope with pressure resulting from changing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate an effective communication skill/style to present complex ideas in a compelling and comprehensive manner.
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality in handling and having access to sensitive information.
  • Strong understanding of both financial and operational processes and controls.



This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.


The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
