Summary:

In this role, you will support the ongoing development and integration of our suppliers and their pricing with our customer's design/construction process from conception, planning, design, construction, and closeout. You will also conduct detailed analyses to generate strategic insight and identify performance improvement opportunities for members and clients. Vizient integrates the activities of architects, engineers, third party equipment planners and consultants involved in facilities maintenance and construction projects to create a positive financial outcome for our healthcare members.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the P&L growth of the Facilities Management Operation Optimization Solution - Center of Excellence (CoE)

  • Establish and maintain relationships with members at various levels including C-suite, supply chain/materials management, facilities, and construction.

  • Cultivates and develops both new and existing vendor relationships by understanding the changing marketplace related to facilities and construction.

  • Plans and manages multiple projects and/or initiatives

  • Develops relationships and agreements that can effectively articulate the intent and design to the end user to provide member facilities with savings opportunities. May serve in a Project Lead role on various size projects.

  • Manages the initiatives and programs that are developed to enhance membership compliance with the contract portfolio. Coordinate between customer supply chain and construction/facilities and 3rd party contractors.

  • Designs and executes project work plans; providesmemberswith status updates; identify, track, and validate savings achieved through program engagement.

  • Identify regional aggregation opportunities across multiple customers. Negotiate regional/customer-specific contracts with vendors that meet selection criteria in relations to design and construction. Prepares analyses and presents recommendations to senior leadership at member locations.

  • Guides senior leadership in setting priorities and selecting alternatives for delivering member value and/or developing new products/services.

  • Review documentation to determine compliance with construction contracts in relation to areas of labor, subcontractors, equipment, and materials. Prepare RFPs, bid analysis and cost review for client engagements.

  • May assist more senior consultants with marketing, solution/proposal development and/or support the sales process.

  • Maintains high billability, with a focus on delivery and identification of opportunities for follow-on work as well as high member satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevantwork experience required in facilities management and equipment operations required.

  • Experience in architectural/engineering/construction/medical equipment procurement and logistics required.

  • Understanding of healthcare supply chain procurement practices and technology a plus.

  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings (blueprints and plan interpretation) and specifications preferred.

  • Proficient in the use of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients' needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.
