As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Brookings, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access activities, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout manufacturing, production, warehouse, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity, open doors, equipment concerns, and other security-related issues.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations or suspicious behavior to the appropriate site contact.
• Complete routine reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate important updates during shift changes to support continuity of security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
