Make a difference in the community as a Homeless Program PSR. In this role you will help the low-income and homeless patients of our community based, primary health care clinics. This role will:



  • Performs and completes a full range of patient registration including demographics and payer/ insurance information.
  • Responsible for processing and completion of patient specialty and internal referrals in a timely manner
  • Schedules and coordinates new and follow up patient appointments
  • Checks in and checks out patients, ensuring a smooth flow from arrival to discharged
  • Collects insurance cards and verifies insurance real time
  • Scans and uploads records to the electronic health record
  • Processes task in the HER on a daily basis
  • Provides compassionate administrative patient service and supports staff and clinicians.
  • Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.

Salary Range: $30.36 - $43.49 Hourly
Qualifications
Required:

  • MS Office programs, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel between clinic sitesand have a valid California Driver's license
  • Good communication skills and the ability to embrace diversity.
  • Ability to effectively interact with people and develop positive relationships while being tactful, respectful, and direct in communication.

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare or medical setting
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently use our HER system, and ability to use data for decision making
