Join RBC Capital Markets as Director of Product Management for our Compute Fabric Platform, a strategic Kubernetes-based infrastructure powering applications across Capital Markets. This is a high-impact business leadership role where you'll drive platform adoption, deliver measurable value to hundreds of users, and build a thriving platform community. You'll translate cutting-edge cloud-native capabilities into tangible business outcomes, removing barriers to adoption and optimizing investments to maximize ROI. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of compute infrastructure at one of the world's leading capital markets firms, working at the intersection of technology innovation and business value delivery.

What will you do?

  • Define and execute product strategy that aligns platform capabilities with business priorities, building compelling business cases that demonstrate ROI through improved time-to-market, cost savings, and operational efficiency
  • Drive platform adoption across Capital Markets by understanding user needs, conducting research and workshops, building community through engagement forums, and creating tailored adoption strategies for different user segments
  • Design and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs with self-service capabilities, documentation, and starter kits that enable application teams to realize value quickly while continuously improving the user experience
  • Optimize platform investments and resource utilization by implementing transparent cost visibility models, identifying efficiency opportunities through usage analysis, and communicating savings to demonstrate business value
  • Build strong relationships with application teams, business stakeholders, and technology leadership, translating technical capabilities into business benefits and presenting impact to senior leadership and governance forums
  • Serve as the primary advocate for platform users, gathering feedback continuously, tracking satisfaction and adoption metrics, conducting business reviews with major consumers, and using insights to inform roadmap priorities
  • Stay current with cloud-native computing trends and CNCF ecosystem developments, evaluating emerging technologies for business value and bringing external insights to inform platform strategy
  • Establish KPIs measuring adoption, user satisfaction, onboarding effectiveness, and cost efficiency, using data and analytics to identify trends, inform decisions, and report on business outcomes

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 10+ years in product management roles with demonstrated success driving platform adoption, managing stakeholder groups, and delivering measurable business value to internal users at scale
  • Strong business acumen with proven ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes, build ROI-based business cases, and communicate value across all organizational levels
  • Exceptional user focus with experience in user research, adoption strategy, change management, community building, and designing onboarding programs that drive engagement and satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence without authority, build consensus among competing priorities, and present compellingly to executives and technical audiences
  • Understanding of container platforms, cloud infrastructure, and modern application architectures sufficient to engage credibly with technical users and make informed product decisions

Nice-to-have

  • Prior experience in financial services or highly regulated industries with understanding of capital markets technology landscape
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts, CNCF projects, and cloud-native ecosystem with ability to evaluate emerging technologies for business value
  • MBA or advanced degree with relevant product management certifications
  • Experience implementing cost optimization, chargeback/showback models, and resource management strategies for cloud or platform infrastructure
