This position will be based at our Corporate Headquarters located in Charlotte, NC.

About the Role:

The Senior Manager of Supplier Quality leads the North America supplier quality organization, driving quality performance, supplier development, and continuous improvement across the regional supply base. This role is accountable for supplier qualification, readiness for production, and ongoing performance management to ensure product quality, cost efficiency, and reliability.

Operating in a highly matrixed, global environment, this leader partners closely with R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to align supplier capabilities with business objectives and product requirements. The position oversees a large and complex supplier network, proactively driving prevention strategies, reducing quality risks, and improving key performance metrics. Success requires strong leadership, deep expertise in supplier quality systems, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the North America Supplier Quality team, setting priorities and driving performance across the organization

  • Own supplier quality performance across the region, including PPM, service call rate (SCR), warranty cost, and overall quality KPIs

  • Establish and execute supplier qualification and readiness plans, ensuring successful product launches and SOP alignment

  • Drive preventive quality processes including PFMEA, control plans (PCP), and PPAP documentation

  • Develop and manage supplier audit strategy, including planning, execution, and followup actions

  • Identify and lead supplier quality improvement initiatives to reduce risk, improve reliability, and enhance performance

  • Collaborate with R&D, Procurement, and Manufacturing to support part approvals, sourcing decisions, and production readiness

  • Partner with global supplier quality teams to coordinate actions impacting North American operations

  • Lead issue escalation and resolution with suppliers, ensuring timely corrective actions and accountability

  • Provide regular reporting on supplier performance, risks, and improvement actions to leadership and key stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Business, or a related field

  • 10+ years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, R&D, or procurement within a manufacturing environment

  • Strong knowledge of supplier quality processes, including PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and audit methodologies

  • Experience managing supplier performance metrics such as PPM, SCR, and warranty cost

  • Proven ability to lead teams and operate effectively in a global, matrixed organization

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, product launch readiness, and material flow

  • Experience working with suppliers and stakeholders across multiple regions

  • Fluency in English required; additional language skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the appliance, automotive, or other consumer durable goods industry

  • Auditor certification (internal, secondparty, or thirdparty)

  • Experience leading large, complex supplier networks

  • Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience
