IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Graduate Designer 2 in Chicago, IL, to support the design and analysis of electrical systems for building projects. In this role, you'll contribute to project delivery through technical design support, documentation, quality review, client interaction, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to help deliver safe, code-compliant solutions.

Principal Responsibilities

* Support electrical system design and analysis for building projects
* Prepare and update drawings, calculations, and project documentation
* Coordinate design efforts with internal disciplines and external project partners
* Communicate with clients and project teams regarding design requirements and progress
* Maintain accurate project records and documentation throughout project execution
* Review project documents for quality, accuracy, and completeness
* Support safe, code-compliant design solutions in accordance with project requirements
* Participate in site observations and provide construction-phase support as needed
* Travel occasionally to support project and site needs

Required Qualifications and Skills

* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
* 2+ year of experience in the building design consulting industry
* Familiarity with Revit, lighting design software, and energy modeling software
* Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred

* The team works at the forefront of trends including smart buildings, energy codes, BIM, and photovoltaic/energy storage solutions

Locations available: Chicago, IL

State of Illinois Salary Range: $71,000 - $90,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
