Responsibilites:

  • Senior Project Manager - Fixed Video Deployments - US Remote

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager - Group Lead to oversee and drive the successful implementation of projects within a large multi-year program.

  • This role requires a combination of leadership, technical expertise, and project management acumen to lead a team of project managers responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned deployments within the project, ensure the timely delivery of projects, adherence to quality standards, and alignment with organizational goals.

  • The successful candidate will work directly with internal/external stakeholders to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope, schedule, and budget. Must be able to use project management tools to handle complex or time sensitive issues to develop resolutions.

  • Candidates must be able to work under pressure and be able to remain professional in intense or stressful situations. The essential duties and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Team Leadership:

    • Oversee the escalation process for complex or urgent issues requiring immediate attention and prioritize them accordingly.

    • Oversee team performance, set objectives, and conduct regular evaluations to ensure alignment with project and organizational goals.

    • Encourage professional growth and development for yourself and team members

    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven environment

    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of project managers and other support staff.

  • Project Management:

    • Oversee the full lifecycle of video surveillance projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.

    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, facilities, procurement, and security) to achieve seamless integration of customer purchased solutions.

    • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video surveillance and security systems.

    • Work with vendors to evaluate new products, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality standards.

    • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and deliverables.

    • Prepare and present reports, proposals, and technical documentation to leadership and clients.

    • Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.

    • Ensure all projects comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards, including data privacy and cybersecurity requirements.

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and leadership to develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance processes for project lifecycle.

    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage and communicate changes in project scope/schedule/cost, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.

    • Attend contractor meetings representing the security interests of our client and the defined scope of work.

    • Be able to clarify the specific requirements of each project.

    • Track subcontractor and site installations performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term project tasks and milestones.

    • Maintains construction schedule and coordinates scheduling with other trades or direct subcontractors.

    • Maintains current job plans and specifications.

    • Aggressive/Creative problem solving skills, able to get things done in a multi-organizational environment.

    • Proactively works with the project team to ensure timely and accurate project procurement, billing, and project financials.

    • Maintains all records and required items using the project defined Project Management Information System.

    • Presents a professional image of Motorola Solutions when speaking to customers.

    • Be able to travel to customer locations (Southeast US and Midwest Regions), subcontractor offices, project offices or warehouses for meetings, site walks, vendor meetings, or other assigned tasks by project lead.

    • Must have the ability to work remotely without major disruption and distraction. Will be required to join video meetings and conference calls with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with at least one of the following: Public Safety communications systems, IT Networks, Fixed Video Surveillance and Access Control, Electrical Utility Low Voltage Distribution

    • PMP and/or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred.

    • Proficient in Google Applications along with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    • Motorola Solutions experience is a plus

    • Understanding of critical infrastructure and utility companies is a plus.

    • Must be a self motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.

    • Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.

    • Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to pass background checks and obtain customer required security clearance.

    • BICISI Knowledge and/or Certifications preferred.

    • Experience with any of the following strongly desired: Smartsheet, Procore, FieldPulse, Visio, Bluebeam, Lucid Chart, Adobe PDF, Avigilon Control Center, Avigilon System Design Tool, Uinta, System Surveyor

Target Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

Required Skills:

  • High School diploma, Associates Degree in Business, IT, Management, Project Management, or Program Management in a Leadership or Supervisory role required.

  • 6+ years of experience in a Project Management or Program Management environment required.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
