The role will initially be remote from the State of Illinois to support the launch of the Company's new manufacturing facility. The Associate General Counsel partners with leaders and stakeholders across the enterprise to deliver practical guidance on labor and employment matters, manage disputes and litigation, support the drafting and negotiation of contracts, as needed, and handle subsidiary corporate governance, with a particular emphasis on the operations of Hyundai Translead's Illinois manufacturing plant entity, Hyundai Translead Manufacturing America. The role offers opportunity for an in-house Illinois labor and employment attorney to advise directly on labor and employment while expanding their practice into contract drafting and editing, as well as general legal advice and support for our U.S. manufacturing facility. The Associate General Counsel will initially serve as an individual contributor, providing daytoday legal counsel and strategic guidance to internal stakeholders across the enterprise, with a particular focus on Hyundai Translead Manufacturing America. As the enterprise evolves, this role may expand to include the oversight and mentoring of legal or administrative support personnel, such as a paralegal, administrative professional, or junior attorney, as organizational needs and resources require.
