Where you will drive value:

We are looking for a Senior Cheese Process & Technical Services Manager to serve as a corporate technical expert dedicated to our Jerome manufacturing facility.

This role sits at the intersection of process, product performance, and customer expectations, supporting one of our most complex cheese operations, combining large-scale cheese production and shredding.

Unlike traditional R&D roles, this position is highly hands-on and plant-facing, with direct impact on process optimization and yield improvement, product functionality and quality and commercialization and customer performance.

You will act as a key technical bridge between plant operations, corporate teams, and commercial stakeholders, ensuring alignment from production through final application.

  • Partner with plant operations (cheese making, shredding, quality) to improve process performance, stability, and consistency

  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product and process issues

  • Drive yield improvement, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Lead and execute plant trials, commercialization activities, and product modifications

  • Optimize recipes, formulations, and processing parameters to meet performance and cost objectives

  • Evaluate product functionality in real-world applications (e.g., baking, pizza performance)

  • Serve as the technical liaison between plant operations, corporate functions, and commercial teams

  • Provide technical expertise to Sales and customers, including product performance troubleshooting

  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional technical projects aligned with business priorities

  • Analyze production and quality data, support customer complaint resolution, and deliver actionable insights

What will enable you to have an impact:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Dairy Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Five to ten (5-10) years of experience in dairy, food manufacturing, or process-driven environments

  • Strong expertise in process optimization, yield improvement, and continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma preferred)

  • Proven ability in root cause problem solving within complex manufacturing environments

  • Experience acting as a corporate technical resource partnering with plant operations

  • Ability to translate operational challenges into technical and business solutions

  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills without direct authority

  • Ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage across technical and business stakeholders

  • Self-driven, adaptable professional with high ownership and a customer-first mindset
