Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) at Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, MA. HNI delivers enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve installations and bases, providing technical and policy support, as well as C3I infrastructure for USAF enterprise applications.

This position will support TDC systems and software sustainment activities. TDC contains a substantial amount of software that requires a dedicated individual to continue system maintenance, contribute to system architecture efforts, support automation initiatives, document processes, assist users, and support integration of new software capabilities as they are incorporated into the environment.



Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

    Maintain and support TDC software and associated system architecture
  • Support automation initiatives and software integration activities
  • Document technical processes and procedures
  • Provide user support and troubleshooting assistance
  • Support incorporation and sustainment of new software capabilities
  • Perform Virtual Machine (VM) building, configuration, maintenance, and sustainment activities
  • Support and maintain virtualization environments and hypervisors
  • Provide systems engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle
  • Support technical baseline management and system-level test and evaluation
  • Provide risk management support in compliance with Air Force SEAM processes
  • Support trade space analysis, cost versus capability analysis, and Multi-Objective Decision Analysis (MODA)
  • Support Digital Engineering, Digital Thread, and Digital Twin implementation efforts


Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain an Active Secret clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and 15 years of Relevant Experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 5 years must be in the DoD, OR

  • 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications (8 within DoD)

Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in a related field

Technical Skills
  • Significant experience with virtualization technologies
  • Experience supporting hypervisors such as Red Hat or VMware/Broadcom
  • Experience building and maintaining Virtual Machines (VMs)
  • Systems engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle
  • Technical baseline management and system-level test and evaluation
  • Risk management support in compliance with Air Force SEAM processes
  • Trade space analysis, cost versus capability analysis, and Multi-Objective Decision Analysis (MODA)
  • Digital Engineering, Digital Thread, and Digital Twin implementation

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
