Accounts Receivable Analyst

Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Accounts Receivable Analyst position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.



Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Analyst will provide support to the finance and tax teams. The primary focus will be ensuring the accuracy of transactional data, assisting with multi-jurisdictional tax filings, and maintaining the administrative foundation of Fike's global tax compliance strategy. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will work under the guidance of senior professionals to learn the nuances of receivables, tax, and intercompany relationships.



Primary Responsibilities:


  1. Assist in the preparation and timely filing of monthly and quarterly indirect tax returns (Sales/Use) for Fike Corporation or other business units assigned by management.
  2. Perform monthly reconciliations between the company's accounting records and tax filing software to identify discrepancies and ensure reporting accuracy.
  3. Support sales and tax credit processing and analysis.
  4. Support new and existing business registrations, working with legal to gather documentation for tax registrations.
  5. Organize and gather financial records, invoices, and exemption certificates to support senior staff during state and international tax audits.
  6. Assist in the setup of new products and customers in the tax system, ensuring correct tax code assignments and address validation in collaboration with other company departments.
  7. Supports reporting requests from external tax engagements for data analysis as projects are assigned.
  8. Coordinates with external tax partners on providing information for direct tax filings.
  9. Coordinate payment activity for all fillings.
  10. Supports projects related to intercompany transactions as assigned, ensuring transaction flow designed by senior management is supported by proper tax documentation for tax filings.
  11. Coordinates with external partners to ensure annual reports are filed.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the environment is general office work and the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, see, sit and use hands. Some travel domestically and internationally, as required.



Job Qualifications:

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance and relevant specialized tax education. Two years or more of progressive work experience in indirect tax operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to deal effectively with a variety of corporate functional organizations, professional disciplines and customers. Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing software applications, and Google Suite.



PREFERRED: Five years or more of progressive work experience in indirect tax operations. Experience with both ERP and tax database systems.



Compensation: The pay range for this position is $56,692 to $69,743 a year. May increase depending on the level of experience of the candidate.
