Position Overview

At JLL, we partner with the world's most prestigious organizations. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager (SPjM) to join us. As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering Google's infrastructure and facilities projects. We are seeking an individual who embodies our Ascend Guiding Principles, driving projects with operational rigor, unwavering accountability, demonstrating speed and responsiveness, exhibiting proactive leadership, fostering seamless integration, operating with a cost-conscious mindset, leveraging data-driven insights and contributing to a future-forward organization. You will manage capex and opex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Rigor: Lead all phases of construction projects with a relentless pursuit of excellence, getting the basics right every time. Apply a robust quality framework to understand root causes of issues, leaving no stone unturned, and operate comfortably within the intricate details of project specifications, contracts, and schedules.

  • Accountability: Take full ownership for project outcomes, following through on all commitments to stakeholders and internal teams. You will replace blame with curiosity when challenges arise, holding yourself and your project teams to the highest standards of performance and delivery.

  • Speed and Responsiveness: Demonstrate exceptional urgency and attentiveness to the needs of Googlers and project requirements. Prioritize value over volume, addressing critical items without unnecessary delays, and exhibit a strong bias for action while never compromising on safety. Minutes and hours truly matter in your approach.

  • Proactivity: Anticipate potential problems and risks before they materialize, taking initiative to implement preventative measures and solutions. You will continuously challenge the status quo, raise the bar for service delivery, and evolve our processes to enhance the overall Googler experience.

  • Integration: Build a highly connected and collaborative project environment, fostering clear and effective communication across all internal Google teams (e.g. REWS, BOS, Product Area Teams, GEN, AV, EH&S, Food, Events, Executive Events, H&P), external vendors, and contractors. You will actively mitigate organizational seams, eliminate unnecessary work, and strive to create a frictionless experience for all project stakeholders.

  • Cost Conscious: Exhibit robust financial controllership, spending smartly on behalf of Google as if it were your own money. You will proactively identify and provide optionality and recommendations on efficiencies, value engineering, and strategic investments to maximize project value.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage project data, metrics, and analytics to uncover meaningful insights. You will transform complex numbers into compelling, factual narratives that enable smarter, evidence-based decision-making for all project phases and stakeholders.

  • Future-Forward Organization: Actively stay ahead of industry changes, trends, and technologies, providing Google with industry-leading insights. You will build for long-term success, remain agile in adapting to evolving requirements, and continuously invest in your own talent and tools to confidently lead project delivery into the future.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in delivering technical projects involving key building systems; Building Automation Systems (BMS), IoT deployments, Digital/Smart Buildings, Life Safety and Corporate Networks

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, safety regulations, and building codes.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.

  • A proven track record of solving complex problems, innovating processes, and driving continuous improvement in a construction environment.
