Position Description

Thepress brake operator isresponsible for setting up andoperatinga press brake machine to bend, shape, or cut metal sheets and plates according to blueprints and specifications, ensuring the produced parts meet quality standards by performing necessary adjustments and inspections throughout the manufacturing process.

Hours: 2nd Shift 3:00PM-11:30PM or 3rd Shift 11:00PM-7:30AM

Pay: Starting Rate is $24.23/hour after 9 months the pay rate will increase to $26.23

Shift differential: 2nd shift $1.00/hr & 3rd shift is $1.50/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Work from verbal and/or written instructions fromsupervisorand engineers.
  • Operator sets up andoperatesvarious CNC fabricators, shear, spotweldand press brake equipment per print.
  • Set-upother equipment as assigned.
  • Fabricate parts using various sheet metal fabricating tools and machines.
  • Read and use a variety of measuring instruments.
  • Perform preventative maintenance onequipmentasnecessary.
  • Input programs in CNC controls and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Must haveabilityto use mathematics in various phases of the job.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints, assembly checks and CAD modelsin order tomeet production specifications preferred.
