Join Utz Quality Foods as a Senior Analyst, Plant Finance and play a key role in helping our King's Mountain, NC plant operate smarter, faster, and more profitably. Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Finance, you'll serve as the primary finance partner for the plant-turning data into insights, guiding decisions, and helping leaders improve performance across operations.

In this role, you'll work closely with plant leadership to maintain a strong standard costing environment, analyze manufacturing performance, and deliver clear, fact-based recommendations that drive results. You'll use internal systems, financial statements, and analytical tools to respond to business needs and provide reporting that supports both day-to-day operations and long-term planning.

What You'll Do



  • Analyze daily production orders to uncover trends and provide insight into monthly plant performance.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to build and maintain item formulas and routings that support accurate standard costing.
  • Calculate manufacturing costs for new products produced at the assigned plant.
  • Support month-end close by preparing accruals and reconciling inventory and related liability accounts in accordance with company policies and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with operations to strengthen inventory controls and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare month-end reporting packages for review by Supply Chain Finance leadership and inclusion in executive summaries.
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly forecasting activities, as well as the development of the annual operating plan.
  • Evaluate overhead, labor, and material costs and work with plant and purchasing teams to identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Perform root cause analysis on P&L accounts to explain performance and support better decision-making.
  • Provide ad hoc financial and analytical support as business needs evolve.
  • Take on additional responsibilities that support department and company goals.


What We're Looking For



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in finance, manufacturing, supply chain, or a related function.
  • Working knowledge of standard costing environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications and the ability to quickly learn ERP and BI systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A results-oriented mindset, strong work ethic, and understanding of the importance of deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced setting.
