The Role

As the Associate, USP Award Management, you'll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. You will support the financial integrity and operational efficiency of U.S. Programs, supporting Award Management and General Accounting-advancing AMS workflows, preparing Agresso Budget Templates (ABTs), collaborating with Portfolio Managers to collect award details, and ensuring award records remain current and compliant in AMS. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong systems fluency, and proactive cross functional communication with Finance, Marketing & Growth, Grants & Contracts, and Award Management teams.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Award Management Support (100%)



  • Manage AMS workflows for USP awards throughout award lifecycle, ensuring metadata, documentation, and statuses are accurate and timely; ensuring compliance with SCUS award management policies and procedures.
  • Complete pre-award information risk and budget documentation as required for new awards and revisions; collaborate with Advisor, Award Management and Portfolio Managers to validate award requirements, budget structures, dimensions, and funding rules prior to posting.
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers and Program teams to collect award information (deliverables, reporting cycles, match/GIK requirements, key contacts) and keep award records current in AMS.
  • Run routine portfolio hygiene checks (e.g., missing documents, expired reporting milestones, budget misalignments) and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Support close-out workflows for USP awards, ensuring accuracy and completeness of awards records, including completeness of donor reports, fully executed agreements and amendments, and other supporting documents.
  • Attend monthly monitoring meetings to stay aware of and complete adjustments in data system(s) as needed.


Required qualifications for the role



  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English


    Preferred qualifications for the role



    • Experience managing award approvals and workflows for Federal, private, and public funding
    • Experience with AMS online platform for Award Management
    • Experience with Agresso financial management software


    Compensation

    Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:



    • Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target hourly pay for this position is $29.22 - $32.66
    • Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target hourly pay for this position is $25.95 - $29.00
    • Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target hourly pay for this position is $23.91 - $26.72


    The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US, salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here).
