Job Summary:
The Elevator Mechanic position is part of a dynamic, servicefocused facilities team within the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Division of Facilities Planning & Management. We are seeking a skilled Elevator Mechanic to repair, troubleshoot, modernize, and maintain a wide range of traction and hydraulic elevators. Elevator Mechanics ensure that elevator equipment remains safe, reliable, and compliant with regulatory standards. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must possess strong service skills and have broad knowledge of the elevator trade. This position will work closely with regulatory agencies on code compliance related to elevators and other vehicle lift equipment. Ongoing/Renewable Full-Time: 100% FTE Work is performed onsite and is generally scheduled Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm. This position requires availability for occasional overtime and afterhours calls. The incumbent in this role will be on a rotational after-hour call list with their elevator mechanic team members.
