EDI Specialist - Netsuite

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EDI Specialist with hands-on NetSuite EDI experience to support and manage electronic data interchange processes between the organization, customers, and trading partners. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for EDI operations, ensuring accurate transaction processing, seamless integrations, and compliance with trading partner requirements within the NetSuite ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in EDI standards, NetSuite workflows, and transaction management, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support order-to-cash operations.

Job Responsibilities




  • Manage day-to-day EDI operations within NetSuite EDI and related SuiteApps, including transaction monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.



  • Configure, onboard, and maintain trading partner relationships while ensuring compliance with partner-specific EDI requirements and timelines.



  • Support and maintain EDI integrations within NetSuite, including order management, fulfillment, invoicing, and inventory workflows.



  • Develop, validate, and troubleshoot EDI mappings for transaction sets including 850 Purchase Orders, 810 Invoices, 856 Advance Ship Notices, 940/945 Warehouse Shipping Orders, and 997 Functional Acknowledgments.



  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Logistics, and other internal teams to support efficient order-to-cash processes.



  • Conduct EDI testing for new trading partners, document types, and system enhancements.



  • Provide training and ongoing support to internal users regarding EDI workflows, integration processes, and best practices.



  • Monitor EDI performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.



  • Maintain accurate documentation related to EDI configurations, mappings, and workflows.



  • Ensure timely resolution of EDI transaction issues and communication with trading partners when needed.




Job Requirements




  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite EDI, including SuiteApps, integrations, and transaction management.



  • Strong understanding of EDI standards including ANSI X12 and EDIFACT.



  • Experience with EDI communication protocols such as AS2, SFTP, and VANs.



  • Solid knowledge of NetSuite order-to-cash workflows, including purchasing, fulfillment, invoicing, and inventory management.



  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction issues effectively.



  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage external trading partner relationships.



  • Prior experience supporting EDI operations within retail and/or manufacturing environments preferred.



  • Ability to work onsite five days per week in East Rutherford, New Jersey.




Education




  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.




Work Experience




  • Previous experience supporting EDI operations in a retail or manufacturing environment preferred.



  • Experience working with NetSuite ERP and EDI integrations required.
