JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Department of Biology, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering at Florida Polytechnic University is seeking applicants for the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology.
Visiting Assistant Professor candidates should possess a commitment to teaching biology that supports undergraduates primarily in introductory chemistry courses. Florida Polytechnic University will offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences beginning in fall 2026. This position will primarily focus on Biology 1 and 2 lectures and laboratory instruction. As such, applicants must demonstrate commitment to teaching within the freshman and sophomore year. Candidates are expected to assist in the broader educational mission of the university. The appointment is projected to begin on August 10, 2026.
