Lab Technician II

Michigan Center, MI

Position Overview
The Lab Technician II supports laboratory testing, product verification, and research activities across R&D and cross-functional teams. This role conducts complex experiments with minimal supervision and ensures high-quality data to advance product development. The technician helps maintain lab equipment, documentation, and safety standards to support operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory tests and experiments according to established procedures

  • Support new product verification through testing and data reporting

  • Record, analyze, and communicate test results accurately

  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment

  • Perform equipment troubleshooting and coordinate repairs

  • Assist with experimental design and process optimization

  • Support investigations related to product performance or customer feedback

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field

  • Experience: 4-6 years in a laboratory, R&D, or technical support environment

  • Skills: Proficiency with lab equipment and data documentation

  • Skills: Ability to follow standardized procedures and manage multiple tasks

  • Work Authorization: Eligible to work in the country of employment

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with polymer, adhesive, or materials testing

  • Experience supporting NPI or product development activities

  • Skills in basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Skills in cross-functional communication and collaboration

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $22.61 - $28.26/hr based on experience.
