Summary of Primary Functions: Establish, maintain, and grow customer accounts to generate business. Ensures customer requirements and business plan performance objectives are met from project inception through closeout of the project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.

  • Cold call as appropriate with market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities, taking full advantage of networking to meet potential clients.

  • Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization.

  • Research, plan for and help build relationships with new clients.

  • Present an image that mirrors that of the client as appropriate.

  • Working with the sales/technical team as needed, present new products, systems, and services and enhance existing relationships.

  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.

  • Track and record activity on accounts and help close deals to meet these targets.

  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company's people and capabilities.

  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and appropriate company's sales and technical resources.

  • Plan approaches and pitches - work with the team to develop proposals and presentations that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.

  • Present business development training and mentoring to internal staff.

  • Assist in identifying new products in conjunction with the Research and Development Team.

  • Lead the Sales Team on the marketing and sale of new products.

  • Gather information to be presented to the senior management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products and channels for providing same (i.e. partnerships, etc.).

Job Specifications or Qualifications:

Education: College Degree (4-year) or equivalent experience and training is required.

Experience: 5 to 7 (+) years prior, related experience with precast/BDS industry is preferred. Similar industry experience will also be considered.
