Overview

VTG is seeking a Dynamics 365 Developer / Architect whose primary responsibility will be supporting our customers in their journey to modernize their business applications through Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related low-code platforms. You will work directly with customers to capture high-level requirements, translate them into proof-of-concept solutions, and guide teams of developers through configuration, customization, and deployment activities that deliver business value.

This highly visible, customer-facing position involves leading development teams, designing technical solutions, and serving as the primary point of contact for assigned applications or projects. You will assist in driving delivery of the customers' desired technical outcomes by leveraging Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure services, and integration technologies.


What will you do?

  • Lead technical engagements with customers, capturing objectives, translating requirements into functional and technical solution designs, and managing solution delivery.
  • Configure, customize, and extend Dynamics 365 (Customer Engagement, Finance & Operations, or other modules) to meet client business needs.
  • Design and implement Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to complement Dynamics 365 deployments and maximize automation.
  • Architect integration strategies between Dynamics 365 and other enterprise systems, using Azure Integration Services, APIs, and data connectors.
  • Oversee migration strategies from legacy applications to Dynamics 365, ensuring minimal downtime and secure, compliant execution.
  • Develop and enforce DevSecOps practices appropriate for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform deployments, meeting customer and regulatory/security requirements.
  • Manage technical design for business application solutions that span modules, integrations, workflows, reporting, and cloud capabilities, with awareness across the entire lifecycle from design to support.
  • Recommend enhancements, optimizations, and automation opportunities within Dynamics 365 and related services for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Bridge the gap between complex business challenges and the capabilities of Dynamics 365, working with developers, business analysts, and customer stakeholders to ensure alignment and quality.
  • Mentor and lead teams of developers, providing guidance on best practices, coding standards, and solution architecture.
  • Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, explaining concepts, demonstrating solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout projects.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to validate, test, troubleshoot, and fine-tune solutions in coordination with client teams.

Do you have what it takes?

  • US citizenship and eligibility to obtain a SECRET clearance
  • BA or MS in Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or related
  • Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Customer Engagement and/or Finance & Operations) configuration, customization, and extension.
  • Proficiency in Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of Azure services relevant to Dynamics 365 integrations and security.
  • Experience leading development teams and managing solution delivery lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps processes for cloud-based business applications.
  • Understanding of enterprise integration technologies and data migration techniques.
  • Ability to travel as required for project delivery and customer engagement.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated salary range for this position is $145,000 - $170,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the skills and experience required for the position. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
